Major Throwback // Taiwan Day 4

Warning: This is a very very very very overdue post.
But bo bian, someone is expecting this, and so I shall try to fulfill their expectations. hahaha
I actually wanted to put errthing in Taipei to one single post to end it once and for all.
But, but, but when I looked through my photos again, it's impossible...
I can't, I can't resist myself from posting them up.
After a trillion time of filtering and all, I still have to post all this.
So, here goes.

Reminder to all: Click for larger images. :)

We left Taichung, off to Jiufen.
On the way to Jiufen, we decided to stop at Yehliu.
I didn't even have a wink of rest in the car.
And you will see why.

HOW CAN YOU SLEEP WITH VIEWS LIKE THIS?!
I CAN'T EVEN BEAR TO WINK.

We stopped at the rest area, with a view like this.
It's impossible to get such view in any rest area or any road in Malaysia.
If you ask me what's best about Yehlui, Imma tell you, the journey.

Yehliu Geopark.
Somehow, we paid to see ... rocks.
Tbh, I don't really appreciate the rocks.
But the clear sea water do excites me. hehe
Yes, I'm a major lover of clear sea or beautiful beaches, clean ones of course.

And hence, you ain't gonna see any pictures of rocks here.

Mum can be one of the best travel partner. ;)
And of course, she did not get the rock things too. hahaha

You need to walk a very long way to the end, and you can get these view.
Like a super long way, unsheltered.
I suppose the unsheltered idea is good for a place like this.
It really gave me the feeling that I'm not near to the nature, I'm in it.
If only I can jump into that water.
So I ended up not regretting it anyway. The views are worth the fees and the scorching sun.

Key chains from the souvenirs shop in Yehliu.
That's all for Yehliu.
We missed out the part of having seafood at Yehliu.
For those who's considering to pay a visit at Yehliu,
do check the season for 大闸蟹

Saw this on our way to Jiufen.
I forgot what was this, it's abandoned, but it feels like it's full of story.

We are in the mountains. I can't really describe how thrilled I was.

Looking at Jiufen and 阴阳海 from Shifen Waterfall.
Btw, the waterfall is... pathethic (?)
'cause it's not raining season and all, it's dried out.
But the view from here is satisfying though.

And then, here we are, Jiufen.
Many said that Jiufen rains quite often.
But we didn't get even a drip of rain during our stay there.
How lucky is that. hehe

Checked in.

Steep steep roads errwhere.

Ah wei told me, if you don't get a 芋圆 at Jiufen, you can't say you've been there.
Oh, on a side note, people in Jiufen are averagely not very friendly.

虾球yum yum.

The cartoon map given by the hotel auntie.

I've been searching for this place.
the famous staircase hahahah
People mountain people sea.

It's beautiful, but I may need a second visit to get the real feel.
But Jiufen definitely makes me wanna come again, not the weekend again please.
Went to 瑞芳 for dinner, a simple but nice one. :)

人家的lok lok.......

As promised (to myself), 1 convenience store every day. hehehe

 Waking up to this view.
Even now, I feel my heart beating fast looking at this picture.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Breakfast comes with the room. It's homemade. :))

Breakfast with a view like this, I can do this everyday.

This quote describe exactly how I feels towards Jiufen.
It's been over a year now since I came back from Taiwan. HAHAHA
Looking back at the photos while I'm posting this, makes me miss Taiwan soooooo much. :(
Especially Jiufen. Jiufen is definitely my kind of getaway.

That's all for Jiufen and Yehliu, Taiwan trip.
Till next time!

Case Study: Shipping Container Architecture

Shipping container architecture is a form of architecture using steel intermodal containers (shipping containers) as structural element. It is also referred to as cargotecture , a portmanteau of cargo with architecture. The use of containers as a building material has grown in popularity of the past several years due to their inherent strength, wide availability, and relatively low expense. We have also started to see people build homes with containers because they are seen as more eco-friendly than traditional building materials such as brick and cement. THE KABIN While we went on a trip to Sekinchan last month, we had a chance to stay at The Kabin, a container lodge in Sekinchan. It was a new experience for us and also a pleasant one. There are basically two different type of containers used at The Kabin. Their difference are in the length of the container. The shorter ones, with length of 6m are used for rooms for  2-4 person, while the longer ones, with the lengt

FAIL BIG TIME.

Vietnam 8D7N

This post has been in my draft for a hundred years, because I know I definitely have to post about this trip, but I never really had time to finish it,  until now (more than a year later). Vietnam has gained its popularity in recent years, probably because of cheap flights, but mainly because of its beauty. 8 out of 10 people who came to Vietnam love it, and the remaining 2 probably went to Ho Chih Minh and had some unpleasant experience. Most interesting part, 10 out of 10 people who said Vietnam is dangerous and chaotic have  never  been to Vietnam. All the reaction I get from my family and friends when I said I'm going to Vietnam, gave me the  BUT WHY  face. There's probably a scene from some war documentary going on in their brain when I mention Vietnam, followed by warning about food poisoning, and for some reason abduction....? My choice of destination has never gained much approval from the elderly and general public anyway. This, and backpacking. So I'm basic
