Taiwan Day One.

After all the planning, counting down, anticipation, it's finally the day.
Flight at 10.45am, had to be at the airport like 3 hours before, we woke up at 5.30am.
And reach the airport at 7.30am...

It's not our first time travelling aboard, but it's our first time travelling aboard together.
On our way to our departure gate, and the other 4 members already started their purchasing at the airport.

But it's definitely a first time for this kid, both the travelling aboard and on an airplane.

Bye Malaysia.

And hello Taiwan !

And, the first thing I had upon arriving in Taiwan, Latte. Lol.
It's from the foodcourt in TPE Airport, but it's nice and it only cost TWD 60(approx RM6).

The exchange rate when we visited Taiwan is approximately TWD100 to RM9.20
So TWD 100 is approximately equals to RM10. It's easier to calculate. hehe

Cause we planned to go Taichung first, so we took a bus to Taichung.
It cost TWD 240 a trip. It took about 2 hours for us to reach Taichung.

We reach Taichung Railway Station, and I was told the hotel is very near to the station.
But we still decided to hail a cab, but the uncle is so "nice".
He said the hotel is within a very close walking distance from the station
so he is probably telling us not to waste our money for that short distance.
So, 8 of us pulling a total of 10 luggage, using the bullsh*t google map,
had a very tiring yet meaningless time finding our way to our hotel.
It's quite an unpleasant experience for our first day in Taiwan. -.-
And this, marked the start of all the endless walking in Taiwan....

After like half an hour or more, we finally reached the hotel,
which, is only actually a 10 minutes walk (the most) from the station,
if we have had the right route. Okay.
Luckily, the hotel staffs are friendly and the rooms are alright.

It only cost a total of  TWD7200
for 2 rooms for 4 person, for 3 nights.
So it's like TWD300 (approx RM30) per person per night.
It's the most satisfying hotel we got through the whole trip.

Moon Lake Hotel
No. 42-3, Guangfu Road, Taichung, Taiwan 400
+886 4 3704 8866

Couldn't waste the first day with all the travelling so...
After placing our luggage in the room, we walked to Yizhong night market.

We just bought anything we wanted to try, anything that we never saw in Msia.
We headed towards different kiosk selling different things
and then gather again after getting our food and started the sharing.
HAHAHA
I really appreciate moments like this. :)

TWD 120 teriyaki beef noodle. Worth it, like super worth it.

From Yizhong night market, marked the start of Auntie Meiyue's endless umbrella purchasing in Taiwan.

Was on our way back very soon, cause Yizhong NM was erm, very small?
Nothing much to see and try, so we decided to head back.
And we accidentally found this small alley, where we ended up to have a lil shopping spree. hahaha

Taiwan's night market often has all these small alley which are full of surprises.
It's like, after you walk into the alley there's a whole new world inside. HAHAHA

After the little shopping spree we had, finally heading back to hotel.
And we just have to visit
Marked the start of my own little adventure in the convenience store in Taiwan.
I'm so tempted to enter every single convenience store there.

RILA!!!!!

And the things we sapu for our first adventure in Taiwan's convenience store.
Nothing you can find in Malaysia. No way. *proud

I wanted to combine day 1 and 2 in one post,
but the amount of photos I wanna share, makes it impossible.
Choose lesser photos to share, I tried, and I just can't!

Sun Moon Lake and Fengjia NM coming soon!
Goodnight.

Case Study: Shipping Container Architecture

Shipping container architecture is a form of architecture using steel intermodal containers (shipping containers) as structural element. It is also referred to as cargotecture , a portmanteau of cargo with architecture. The use of containers as a building material has grown in popularity of the past several years due to their inherent strength, wide availability, and relatively low expense. We have also started to see people build homes with containers because they are seen as more eco-friendly than traditional building materials such as brick and cement. THE KABIN While we went on a trip to Sekinchan last month, we had a chance to stay at The Kabin, a container lodge in Sekinchan. It was a new experience for us and also a pleasant one. There are basically two different type of containers used at The Kabin. Their difference are in the length of the container. The shorter ones, with length of 6m are used for rooms for  2-4 person, while the longer ones, with the l...

FAIL BIG TIME.

Vietnam 8D7N

This post has been in my draft for a hundred years, because I know I definitely have to post about this trip, but I never really had time to finish it,  until now (more than a year later). Vietnam has gained its popularity in recent years, probably because of cheap flights, but mainly because of its beauty. 8 out of 10 people who came to Vietnam love it, and the remaining 2 probably went to Ho Chih Minh and had some unpleasant experience. Most interesting part, 10 out of 10 people who said Vietnam is dangerous and chaotic have  never  been to Vietnam. All the reaction I get from my family and friends when I said I'm going to Vietnam, gave me the  BUT WHY  face. There's probably a scene from some war documentary going on in their brain when I mention Vietnam, followed by warning about food poisoning, and for some reason abduction....? My choice of destination has never gained much approval from the elderly and general public anyway. This, and backpack...
